  Wonderful Church! I have been attending this church for a little over a year. It is difficult to start at a new church, but the small groups and men/women's monthly meetings really helped me to meet people, and not just superficially. The bible and the truth are spoken from the pulpit. I have met a lot of warm and genuine folks at this church, especially the pastor.

  Large church: 100+, somewhat different group of people each Sunday. The inside joke: revolving congregation.
  from 2009-2011 the music has been blah.
  Not a family church really as the children and especially Youth ministry is non-existent.
  The term "complacent" is passed around a lot, which is why several long term members leave each year (such as myself.)
  Not a lot of spiritual experiences at SCC. A lot of sheltered Christians. There are lovely Christians everywhere, why go to a place where your needs are not met?
  The pastor is a delight and has a warm Southern background that is not typical CCCC but is a nice compliment instead. There is a very non-denominational feel but watch out; some members are rabid Puritans. Attending the church is a better idea than becoming a member or you are judged very harshly if you get out of line.
  Homosexuals may attend the church and the pastor says they are welcomed because we are to love our neighbors but the congregation is openly uncomfortable with non-traditional lifestyles and they will need to pull you aside at coffee hour and discuss your lifestyle with you or with others about you. This part I only know second hand and have seen, not experienced myself.

  I attended there this past Easter. The day started with a 6:30Am Sunrise service lead by a dynamic young man who in the Youth Director. Music was lead by guitars and a violin and they did an awesome job out doors on top of the hill, with the sun at there backs. Then it was down the hill and back to the church for a free breakfast. No one went away hungry. Several hours later the Sr. Pastor lead us in Easter Sunday Worship which also included special music and a Easter Children's Sermon by the Director of Children's Minister. This church is alive. I highly recommended it.

  Great small groups. Folks get to know each other and support each other
  Sr. Pastor is very carrying and loves the Lord. Committed Sunday school
  leadership and a growing nursery, (new young parents are growing the
  church). this is a church where people take time to pray for each
  other.
